Unbiased College Football Thoughts

• The only reason Michigan holds the edge in the ND/UM series is because the Wolverines were scared to play the Irish following their first loss.  After Notre Dame’s win in 1909, Michigan refused to schedule them until 1942-43.  During the layoff, Notre Dame fielded some of the best teams of the leather helmet era.

• Michigan would have beaten Nebraska had the played in 1997.  I hate Michigan, but that team was special

• Ndamukong Suh should have won the Heisman.

• Oregon needs to pick a uniform and stick with it.

• U$C knows they can do whatever they want and get away with it.  It’s pathetic.  The NCAA bends over for them because they generate so much cheddar for them.

• Tim Tebow had a great ride in Gainesville.  Will his game translate to the NFL?  I think he can have a decent career in the league, but it will most likely come at another position.  He’s a hard worker and a winner.  Guys like that are welcomed on any team.  But he better leave the “rah-rah” stuff in college because established vets will tell him to gtfo.

• I think Texas will shock the world and stun the Crimson Tide.  Hook ’em Horns!

• Texas Tech’s administration should all be fired.  When the Red Raiders fade back into mediocrity, they will be kicking themselves for firing the best coach they’ve ever had.

• Lane Kiffin is an idiot, but he’s got an eye for talent.
